SSK Based PSK-LoRa Modulation for IoT Communications

LoRa has been considered as a key enabler for the next generation Internet of Things (IoT) networks. However, low spectral efficiency (SE) chirp spread spectrum (CSS) modulation used in is fatal drawback its extensive applications sixth (6G) enabled high-data-rate IoT era. In this paper, we propose SSK PSK-LoRa (slope-shift-keying and phase-shift-keying LoRa) modulation, which can achieve higher SE better energy (EE) than conventional modulation. particular, transceiver architecture our proposed scheme presented along with both coherent semi-coherent detection methods. Moreover, orthogonality symbols analyzed closed-form approximations bit error rate (BER) additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) Rayleigh fading channels are derived. Numerical results demonstrate superiority scheme, outperforms most classical counterparts terms BER effective throughput.
